It’s that time of the year, ladies and gents, when jittery runners from all walks of life, and all shapes and sizes, descend upon the lovely streets of Brooklyn to run for a bit more than 13 miles. Spring is alive in this great land of ours, and so are allergies, but we shall not be stopped (unless the subway is not working right), and we shall give it our best out there… hopefully; now those of you who enjoy seeing misery in the face, grab a lawn chair and plant yourselves somewhere around Avenue P and Ocean Pkwy, right around mile 9, which is where you can get a taste of the hopelessness that attacks some of us as we realize that “we were not ready for this.” On the other hand, those of you who enjoy seeing faces filled with relief go to the finish line on the Coney Island boardwalk and Sitllwell Ave… Anywhere you go along the course, you are sure to see humanity expressing itself with tears, sweat and the occasional loose fart!!! Enjoy!
